Lord Rama

Lord Rama

In Hinduism, Lord Vishnu's seventh avatar is Lord Rama. Lord Vishnu's most important avatar is Lord Rama. Rama is worshipped throughout Nepal and India. Lord Rama is one of the most popular gods in Hinduism. He was born in suryavansha, but later known as Raghuvansha. Lord Lakshman is the brother of Lord Rama. Rama was born as the eldest son of Kausalya and Dasharatha. Lord Rama is married to Sita. His journey and life is one of the adherence to dharma. He is considered as the perfect human and the ideal man. For the sake of his father's honour, he serve an exile of fourteen years in the forest. His brother Lakshman and his wife Sita, both are unable to live without Lord Rama, so they decide to join with him. All three spend fourteen years in the forest together. While they were in the forest Sita was kidnapped by Ravanna.
Lord Rama fights with Ravanna in a colossal war. Rama's brave and courage in searching for Sita and won a war to rescue his wife and honour is complemented by her absolute devotion to his love.

Lord Ganesha

During the Gupta period, Lord Ganesha emerged as a distinct deity in 4th and 5th centuries CE. Ganesha is also known as Vinayaka and Ganapathi, he is also called Ganesa. Lord Ganesha temple is found throughout India and Nepal. Lord Ganesha has been easily identified by his elephant head. Lord Ganesha is the god of beginnings. Lord Ganesha's appearance in Indian art has been represented with the elephant head since the early stages. There is many explanations for how he got his elephant head. Some book says that Lord Ganesha was born with an elephant head, most of the stories says he acquires the head of an elephant later.

Lord Ganesha's earliest name was "Ekadanta", its referring his single tusk. Lord Ganesha is also known as Pillayar in South India. Pillayar Patti temple is one of the most famous for Lord Ganesha. Pillayar Patti is located near Thiruppathur. Pillayar Patti temple is an ancient rock - cut cave shrine dedicated to Lord Ganapathi.

Lord Muruga

Lord Muruga, is the Hindu god of war and victory. He is also known as Kartikeya. He is more popular among the tamil people, they called him as "Tamizh Kadavul " ( God of tamil ). In Bengal, they called him "Kartikeya". In Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, he is popular by the name " Subramanya ". In Srilanaka, Maruritius, Malaysia, Singapore and Reunion Island he has temple's. Especially in South India he has more temple's.
Lord Muruga is most famous for his Six Shrines in India are " ARUPADAIVEEDU".
Thiruparamkundram, Thiruchendur, Palani, Swamimalai, Thiruthani and Pazhamudhircholai.
1. Thiruparamkundram - Located in Madurai on hillock. Muruga married Indra's daughter Devasena(also called Devayani) here.
2. Thiruchendur - near Tuticorin, Located on the Sea-Shore. Kartikeya worshiped Shiva and won a battle against Soorapadman here.
3. Swamimalai - Located near Kumbakonam. This temple is built on artificial hill.
4. Palani - This temple is one of the most famous among Murugan temples in Tamil Nadu. This temple is located around 55 - 57Km from Dindugal.
5. Thiruthani - Lord Muruga married Valli here. And he remain calm and very peacefull here after the war with Asuras.
6. Pazhamudircholai - Located on a hillock near by Madurai.

Lord Krishna


The Eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu in Hinduism is Krishna. The meaning of the word krishna in sanskrit is all-attractive. In vishnu sahasranama the name Krishna appears as the 57th and 550th name of Lord Vishnu. Krishna also known as one of the God of gods.
